Specific measures for promoting gender equality
The CRC 1054 gender program offers to its members several measures to promote women`s scientific careers and to improve the compatibility of research career and family life. We offer training programs tailored to the needs and wishes of our female CRC members and an informal mentoring program within the CRC. In addition female CRC members can benefit from individual coaching provided by qualified coaches.
We offer a training program tailored to the needs and wishes of our female CRC members, which includes courses on communication, presentation, leadership, time- and selfmanagement.
We provide the opportunity for individual coaching, to adress specific requests concerning the professional development of our female CRC 1054 members. Mentoring is available on an informal basis, in which our female CRC members can choose a mentor from within or from outside of the CRC.
A scientific symposium took place in October 2018. There top-class female scientists from Germany and abroad presented their work and participated in a round-table discussion with CRC members on career and gender issues.
