Gender Diversity Program
In the CRC 1054, we have more than 50 % female PhD students but less than 20 % female principal investigators. In order to counteract this imbalance and encourage female scientists to pursue an independent career in academic research, we offer different measures to support female scientists at the graduate and post-doctoral level. In addition, we aim to improve the compatibility of research career and family life for all our CRC members. Financial support will be endowed to members of this CRC 1054 to whom this program applies under the guidance of the DFG standards on gender equality.
- Coaching and Mentoring
- Temporary help from student or technical assistants during maternal/parental leave
- Financial support for home office devices
- Financial support for additional child-care outside of usual working hours
- Financial support for private day care if regular day care is not accessible
